Charles & Ray\u00a0Eames had a major influence on the\u00a0design history of the 20th century, they opened the path to mass production.<\/p>\n

The Eameses wanted their Lounge Chair and Ottoman to have the \u201cwarm receptive look of a well-used first baseman\u2019s mitt.\u201d \u00a0The armchair\u00a0became quickly a symbol of comfort and a mid century design icon.<\/p>\n

The lounge chair with ottoman is a European production by Vitra from the early 80\u2019s. It is the desirable brazilian rosewood version that is no longer in production from the end of the 80\u2019s. The chair is upholstered with its very rare original white leather in beautiful condition with patina. The veneer of the exemplary available also shows a dark hue and a nice deep grain.
