Bow-front rosewood sideboard, design Arne Vodder, H.P. Hansen, ca. 1960.<\/h2>\n

Arne Vodder, former student of Finn Juhl at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, is recognised as one of the main figures of the Danish Modern. The designer designed chairs, armchairs, tables, desks, etc. He worked with many manufacturers, including Sibast, France & Son, Fritz Hansen or H.P. Hansen among others. But he is most famous for his sideboards, including the triennial or the 29 models.<\/p>\n

The exemplar available here is a less known model of the Danish designer. The large rosewood sideboard has an original bow-front. The curved shape gives it a unique look, further magnified by the exceptional grain of the exotic veneer. The model has many storage space, including a 4 drawers unit.
