Philippe Fragnière | Greppon | 2014

PHILIPPE FRAGNIERE, GREPPON
Exhibition from 17.01 to 15.02.2014

Kissthedesign gallery presents the first solo show of young swiss photographer Philippe Fragnière *1987, whose work, especially from the serie Snowpark », is regularly published internationally (Wallpaper, Hatje Cantz, etc).
For his exhibition at Kissthedesign, the young ECAL graduate develops a serie of mysterious and slick photographs captured in an environment where susperstitions and beliefs are important, deap-seated in the mountain culture and traditions.

The serie « Greppon » goes through details, everyday habits and catches the magic that the legends and superstitions give them. The short and fragile moments of tension or imbalance thus fixed in time seems to build the core of an incomplete narration.
