Applique à volet pivotant by Charlotte Perriand, Nemo
Charlotte Perriand (1903 – 1999) is one of the most influent french modernist designer. Together with Le Corbusier, Jean Prouvé or Pierre Jeanneret, she is part of the 50’s designer whose works are highly collectible.
The Applique à volet pivotant (CP1 sconce) was originally designed in 1962 by Charlotte Perriand for Steph Simon. Nemo Lighting has reintroduced in 2011 the minimalistic sconce in 3 sizes Applique à volet pivotant (small), double and plié.
Wall lamps with aluminium adjustable volet and metal body. Body white enameled, volet natural anodized, black anodized, red, yellow, blue or mirror polished stainless steel. The E14 version comes with an integrated switch, cable and plug.

Nemo was founded in 1993 in Milan by Franco Cassina, owner of Cassina S.p.A. and by Carlo Forcolini, that felt the need of a project based on innovation, rooting in the tradition that inspired the Italian design.
Thanks to various products that became icons of the Italian design, Nemo has gained a leading position in the lighting design world.
Nemo reissues famous lamps by design masters from the 20th century like a.o Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier, Vico Magistretti, Franco Albini et Kazuhide Takahama. Thanks to the lighting division of Cassina, some rare and valuable models like Corbusier’s lampe de Marseille, Perriand’s potence pivotante, or CP1 sconce, are now affordable.
