Description

LC2 armchair by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret, Cassina.

Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier, was born at La Chaux-de-Fonds, in Switzerland, in 1887; he died in France, in 1965.
The multi-talented Le Corbusier was at the same time a painter, architect, designer and writer, he is now recognized as one of the most influent architect of the 20th century design.

The LC2 armchair, also called Grand Confort, is a timeless icon, one that made design history. Designed in 1928, it is the archetype of the modern chair. The careful separation of the frame from its inner cushions showcases the chair’s rationalist approach. A true classic of 20th century design.
