Rare CTW (Coffee Table Wood base), Charles & Ray Eames, first production Evans.
The CTW table in moulded walnut plywood is a rare first Evans edition produced between 1946 and 1949. Underneath the table top, the wooden fastener dates this example from the beginning of production, the fastening system having changed since 1948. A real must have for collectors of rare 20th century design icons!
Charles & Ray Eames had a major influence on the design history of the 20th century, they opened the path to mass production.
